Our volunteer event at Forest Park couldn’t have happened on a more beautiful day! Shayna, Isabel, and Julia had the chance to plant natives and pull and chop lots of ivy. Lucky us!

Whew! Lot’s of good stuff happening! We are happy to welcome our newest members and are feeling the love as we’re all getting to know each other. We’re also glad to have our next volunteer day at Forest Park nailed down and to be putting the final touches on our next Visitor’s Day on March 12. Check out the calendar above to see everything we have planned!
It’s also nice to be feeling our renewed focus as a group. It’s so wonderful to have a previous member coming back into the fold - a testament to the joys of being part of this group.
We’re looking forward to the rest of the Spring and meeting Scott’s new baby in March!

Back to normal today! We had a great meeting with many members and a new, fabulous guest. We talked a lot about our next volunteer event. Looks like we will be volunteering at the Children's Book Bank. We are still trying to nail down a date. Also, we revisited what we learned from our incredibly knowledgeable guest speaker from last week, David Baer. Next week, Dan Cambell of PDX Farm will be giving his Mastermind. We love when Dan is our presenter, he always shares such great information about how to grow food in our yards. Dan has helped me numerous times, this summer my garden was a jungle of tomatoes, corn, strawberries and pumpkins. Thank you, Dan!
If you'd like to join CIP for a meeting, you are always welcome as a guest! We meet every Tuesday, 8:00-9:30 am at Hatch Innovation. 2420 NE Sandy Blvd.

Also, a big Thank You to David Baer who gave a very compelling, rich and interesting talk on how to be outstanding at marketing, not an easy job for many small business owners. Thanks to Chad Carter for a wonderful Visitor Day presentation!
Chad Carter spoke about his transition from broadcasting to blogging in a compelling, inspirational, and hugely informative presentation. CIP Member David Robinson said of the event,
"Chad spoke to our business development group about the power of story-telling in promoting one's business. In doing so, he told his own story which created both narrative and context for the 'nuts and bolts' of marketing, vis-a-vis, building a circuitous network of content and content drivers in social media that tell a compelling story and drive users to your marketing platforms. His style and skill as an educator is unparalleled. He will make your business grow."
We're looking forward to our next Visitor Day in December. Keep your eyes out for the announcement!
